Occupy Monsanto Pays Visit to the Food and Drug Administration

On Monday April 8th,  Occupy Monsanto organized a rally at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ask the administration to label Genetic Modified Organisms (GMOs) in the food supply. Many of the participants expressed their frustration with the FDA and elected officials in Washington, DC who allow corporations such as Monsanto to dictate labeling of GMO’s. One speaker suggested that people who heard about the #StoneSoup rally, have their own Stone Soup rally in their town to raise awareness around the issue.  There were ten Department of Homeland Security cars on location to “protect” these very dangerous vegetable soup eaters.
